Ethics is a comprehensive statement of integrity. Human morals are formed by combining the pure qualities of human life, which is reflected in daily life practices and sharpened by socio-economic barriers. It has to be kept alive and active by effort.
In social life, a person may fall under the temptation of profit and greed. May engage in unethical activities. May be tempted by untruth, indecency, or otherness. So, individuals have to be honest and pure with constant practice and mental fortitude. He must strive to be ethical and should be free from deviations and confusion. His self-restraints are perfected in constant pursuit and unceasing effort brings achievement and prosperity. In fact, ethics is the best wealth of man and it has to be kept alive in daily care. A person who can stay ethical becomes a priceless wealth to the country and the nation.
It is not untrue in the contemporary context that the physical development of civilization has not made the transition to the non-physical perfect everywhere. Deviations and inconsistencies remain. That is why the intangible transition of civilization that is embodied in the mind and thoughts, daily behavior, and speech of the people makes those wounds visible. Today, those human deviations and confusions have become evident. Which is likely to be transmitted from generation to generation.
Therefore, the strong practice of ethics is essential for the overall transition of civilization. Man must be ethical to be the charioteer of civilization. The Ethics Club was born out of this inescapable truth. Ethics Club started its journey in 2008.
Since the beginning, Ethics Club has been conducting its activities in various educational institutions. Especially presenting to the students the importance of ethics and the aims and objectives of the Ethics Club. The activities of the Ethics Club became popular among the students in a very short time. Ethics Day is celebrated nationally in Bangladesh on a date in the month of January every year. Through the spontaneous participation of teachers and students, Ethics Day became a day to take an oath to be strong in self-purification.
While celebrating Ethics Day on 1st January, it was seen that this day is celebrated with various arrangements at the beginning of the year. Besides, this day is declared a holiday in many countries. Considering the scenario, Ethics Day is celebrated on 25th January of every year since 2017. Now ethics day becomes has become a day to to look forward to the oath of becoming a better human being celebrate.
